3 SKINCARE TRENDS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN 2020

2020 just started and trends in skincare and beauty are already starting to take their place in the new year. Some trends are carrying over from 2019 and companies are starting to make sure their products are on the shelves to carry them into 2021. It is a new decade after all. The skincare trends of the old decade are either obsolete or falling into obscurity. Beauty is always evolving and those who don’t ride the trends are doomed to remain stuck in the past. Not only is beauty evolving with different products and services, but it’s evolving to incorporate tech in skincare as well. Let’s take a look at some skincare trends to look out for in 2020.

Sunscreen With Zinc

Zinc has always been known to provide many benefits for skin care such as reducing acne and works as a decent antioxidant for your skin. However, recent studies have shown zinc provides protection from harmful UV rays of the sun as well. That’s why it’s not surprising that zinc-infused sunscreen is a trending product that doesn’t just help you age gracefully, but helps protect your skin from cancer risk as well

Antioxidant-Infused Skincare Products

When you think of antioxidants, you think of consuming a diet rich in fruits such as berries. You also know to have plenty of antioxidants in your diet means you’re reducing your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. However recently, skincare products have begun incorporating antioxidants into their ingredients. The reason behind this is, the cells inside your body aren’t the ones that benefit from the free-radical fighting benefits of antioxidants, but skin cells can too. This helps prevent premature aging, skin damage, and skin diseases.

Facial Oils

When you think of having an oily face, you think of acne and other breakouts. You might ask why anyone would want to put oil on their face at all. However, as you get older, the production of oil on your skin slows down and you need to supplement it somehow. Oil provides the hydration your skin desperately needs as you age, so recent trends hope to break the stigma and have oil work for your skin.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the next year has to bring.
